Cherokee Cub Pack meets on a Monday evening from 18:45 to 20:15. Our section offers a dynamic and engaging programme of activities both indoor and outdoor including: Hiking, crafts, map work, cooking on fires, abseiling, first aid, DIY, science, pioneering and many more. This allows the Cubs to develop a wide range of Scouting and life skills. The programme allows the Cubs to earn a wide range of badges and work for the Chief Scout Silver award. The Pack also offers several residential opportunities each year with camps in May, July and November.
The Cub section is for boys and girls between 8 and 10½ years old. Cherokee benefits from a strong and skilled Leadership team, and anyone wishing to offer adult support is always welcome.

Jambowlree
Cherokee Cubs ended the term with a visit to Superbowl, where we competed in Jambowlree – the worldwide scout ten pin bowling competition, as well as having a game of quasar. A fun night for all. We also said farewell to five of our Cubs as they move onwards and upwards in their scouting journey.
Chief Scout’s Silver Award
Congratulations to Catriona on achieving her Chief Scout’s Silver Award. This award requires Cubs to attain all seven of the challenge badges, along with six activity or staged activity badges so lots of hard work has gone into this achievement.
Christingle
Lovely to see all our young people taking part in the Christingle Service this afternoon. As our Scouting promises and laws say ‘to be kind and helpful’ and to ‘think of others before themselves’, we did both this afternoon, working alongside The Children’s Society.
Bonfire Night
Arapaho and Cherokee Cubs walked down to Hessle Rugby Club to watch their annual firework display – an excellent show as always. Big thanks to the rugby club for our pig pen to keep us safe and hot dogs for supper. Also to Specsavers for our hi-viz jackets, keeping us seen on our walk.

Humber Rescue
Cherokee Cubs were very proud to present volunteers at Humber Rescue with £155.02 from their Cycle the Humber Challenge. They, along with other members of Hessle Scout Group, are hoping to raise lots more at their next challenge at Hessle Feast.
Group Camp 2019

Cycle The Humber
Well done to all the Cherokee Cubs and Leaders that took part in our ‘Cycle The Humber’ challenge today – and also their family members, Beavers, Apache and Navajo Scouts that joined us too. Together we cycled 181 miles (way over our 115 mile target), and raised £155.02 for Humber Rescue.

BACKWOODS COOKING DAY

HULL MARATHON AND FUN RUN

SWIMMING UP THE RIVER
